Your responsibilities

  • Main contact to overlook and address ALL infrastructure-, technical-, equipment- and IT-demands for up to 15 Pioneer Campus research teams
  • Identify & solve all process- and operational priorities to warrant effective running of all scientific laboratories, facilities & infrastructures in the brand new Pioneer Campus building
  • As integral part of the Pioneer Campus admin team, you serve as key Technical Manager/Coordinator and liaison between the Principal Investigators, their lab-technicians and the Center's central support units

Necessary skills

  • deep understanding of all work- and process flows in state of the art multi-functional life-sciences research laboratories
  • literate with relevant process-management software & lab-solution tools, incl. handling of hazardous goods & waste disposal
  • excellent communication (verbal & written) in German & English

Your qualifications

  • highly skilled, technically versatile Laboratory Technician or Laboratory Manager (min 5+ years Master- or PhD-level education)
  • proven project management experience in either life sciences-, bioengineering- or biomedical imaging environments
  • very good understanding of the legal framework and operational processes at a publicly funded research institution
  • strong service mentality and ‚can do‘ attitude, dedicated to support outstanding international talents during their most vulnerable period – at the start into an independent scientific career
  • analytical skills and ability to reliably and independently manage a broad range of tasks and responsibilities simultaneously

Provided that the prerequisites are fulfilled, a salary level up to E 13 is possible. Social benefits are based on the collective agreement for the federal public service (TVöD). The position is (initially) limited to 2 years, under certain circumstances an extension can be arranged.
